Saul Bass was an American graphic designer most well known for his famous movie posters for huge directors such as Stanley Kubrick and Alfred Hitchcock. His first famous movie poster was the man with the golden arm, his style and all of his text that he produces has a nice paper cut quality to it, all of the letters have the same style but don't conform in a uniform pose as most text does.

The Shining poster Bass produced really imbued a sense uncomfortableness within the title, the face in the 'T' is extremely offsetting and the features of the eyes and face unsettles and element of fear within the viewer. The text again is in line with Sauls famous text style.
